Bringing Stories to Life

Every time that I’ve ever been pulled to a page on a social media platform or a speaker who is marketing their product was because of a story. I love listening to stories on how things came to life and a lot, if not all, of the people that were telling the story, told it with emotion. Having emotion in the story is so important because it really brings it to life. Yet, storytelling in social media is so important because it connects you with your followers. Hearing real life stories will make your consumers think “Hey, I do that too!” and draw them to your product or service. It’s even cool when you can have a livestream and connect with your followers and really show emotion and tell a story. Storytelling has been involving throughout the years and changed since social media is changing everyday and getting new updates, which can make storytelling easier.

Since my business is centered about Christ, I believe that a huge story that would be apart of that would be my testimony. Now, I can share my testimony and yes I would love to, but we’d be here ALL day. I’m going to share a short version of it. I was saved at a summer camp in the year 2013. I remember the night I was saved and feeling an emptiness be fulfilled. It was close to the last night of camp and my youth Pastor, Brad Teel, “killed me”. Which means he told me I was in front of God and what would I do? I didn’t quite know, until I prayed that night and got saved. I was laying in my bunk and was crying, but they were tears of happiness not sorrow. Since that day I have been trying to live my life like Christ everyday.

How I get involved

I engage with most communities. I would never want to leave anyone out of getting cute clothes that I business would have to offer. Yet, my target community would probably be the locals and tourist who seek cute PNW inspired clothing. But, the community that I engage with is just about anyone, yet I would love to see my business grow and get involved in more communities.

I love the idea of working with other people and having “partners”. I work with other local clothing stores in my area and have sales with them and such. I also work with different clothing brands and sell their products, and get benefits from them. They’ll benefit from this because their products name is getting put out into the world and it’s also helping my business. I’d want to foster a relationship with more clothing brands and snow sports/water sports brands, because it can expand my company by a lot and I’ll get more of that community involved in my business. I love to interact with my costumers through social media and see what they are looking for and what they like, so I can put that into my business. They keep me updated on what’s cute and in fashion.

Story of Lifted Clothing

I’ve always had a passion for fashion. I love Jesus and clothes and it’s really simple as that, so when I have the chance to put both into a dream in mine, I will. Having a store that not only shows where I came from, but having a store that is centered around my faith is truly amazing and I love it.

I grew up in Port Angeles, WA where everything is local and my backyard is the pacific northwest. Everyday I’d see the trees and see Gods wonderful creations in my backyard and I wanted to start a store that showcased that exact thing. The PNW has such a unique sense of style that not every state can experience and it’s so much fun to put that style into one store.

Now I can share my testimony on how I found Christ, but that’d be very long! The short version is I was saved in the year 2013, and ever since then I have been living for Jesus, and having a store that is also based around Him, is something that I am very proud of and love doing.

Although, it was hard to start up the business, I did it. It’s not easy to start a business and get it running smoothly, but in the end everything worked out and I am very proud. I have been using Instagram, and Facebook to really show people what my business is and what it provides. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Helping a friend

I am currently an ambassador for my friend Matt Sagan, who owns Cascadia Films. Not only do I get the chance to help showcase my friends to this wonderful business, but it’s also a learning experience for me; someone who hopes to open and run a business one day. Matt shows me what it’s like to run a business and is always there to talk to me and answer my questions

My job is basically to wear Cascadia Films merch and show it on my social media platforms. Another thing that I do is I repost things that he posted on Instagram. I will make them into my own and let my followers know what’s going on with Cascadia Films and to follow them. Matt is also giving me the chance to help him when he goes out filming, which is very exciting and I get the chance to see how he runs Cascadia Films first hand. I even had the opportunity to interview him for a business class I had, and he not only answered my questions, but also helped me and gave me examples on how my future business relates to his.

All experiences through this have been very positive and I am so happy that I get the chance to help out a friend while being able to learn and gain the experience for my future. It’s also very interesting to see how I can help him in such small ways, because it all adds up in the end. It all promotes his business, which I am very happy to do.
